Christian Youth In Action®
What is Christian Youth In Action?
Christian Youth in Action (CYIA™), is a missions program specifically designed for high school students and young adults. CYIA provides, training, materials, and ministry opportunities to help students confidently share their faith with children in their very own communities by teaching 5-Day Clubs throughout Southern California.
Important Information!
CYIA training will be held at The Master's University June 21 - 27, 2025.
Minimum age to attend CYIA is 14 years old.
Registration will open in February.
What is 5-Day Club?
During the summer months children come together in different locations where they can gather safely for five consecutive days to hear the Gospel clearly presented through Bible lessons, a missionary story, exciting games, songs, and activities. You will receive training through CYIA on how to conduct a 5-Day Club and also teach a club during that week of training. You will then teach two more 5-Day Clubs during the summer to receive a certificate of completion. Each summer thousands of children around the world come to know Christ through 5-Day Club!
Who will I expect to serve with?
Students serving in CYIA come from different church backgrounds throughout Southern California. They are a beautiful blend of diverse cultures, interests, personalities and talents. Each person who serves has a place to be an encouragement to other students while preparing for the mission to reach children with the Gospel.
How will I grow in my relationship with God?
You will discover God’s design for you through engaging class time, inspiring chapel, leadership development principles, and practical hands-on training to complete your course. You will learn how to effectively share the Gospel with children. It will be a summer unlike any other!
How much does it cost?
To reserve a student’s spot, an initial donation of $100 is requested. It is requested that each student helps raise an additional $500 which goes towards the cost of materials, training, meals and lodging. Your local CEF representative will help you discover ways of inviting others to invest in the CYIA program to cover some of the expenses.
